Introduction to changes made on this page |
Edward in print: U.S. edition, available at Amazon, Booklocker, etc, U.K. edition available here
Edward eBook: available at Amazon and Smashwords
Edward - Interactive eBook available at Smashwords, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, Apple, etc. and here
Interactive EBook
On the homepage of this site you can download Edward as an interactive eBook.
The potential for this format is limitless and gives you the opportunity not only to see two video introductions, but to follow a great many links to information on characters and places in the book. What is more, you can, for a period of time, download the eBook free.
You can also Download from Smashwords and here is the blurb for that new edition:
If you’re very clever, and very lucky, you will learn from the practice of Law, sometimes even in the court itself, that the Truth is subjective. The truth of a novel is also subjective and, exactly as with a just and winning case, the truth of a great novel will stay with you and change your life. In Edward I have played with the Truth; taking exact and accurate facts to tell a particular story, which for 500 years was obscured from History. Here you will not find internal inconsistency or lapses of plot. Reviewers like it; but, if all I wanted was popularity I would not have told a story from the Life. The power of Edward bends Reality such that further doors have been opened, through 2 websites and numerous hyperlinks they have been opened for you.
In the latest edition of Edward I have played with this access to Reality, through more than 60 hyperlinks, including 2 dedicated video links, you can explore issues surrounding Edward; from the recorded history of characters around him to the legend of the Holy Grail, from present day places to the sound of medieval music, even spirit guides.
The interactive edition of Edward is revolutionary; it should change the nature of eBooks, and for that reason I’m
now giving it away free. Beyond Edward itself, I wish to demonstrate what can be done with eBooks, simple principles which could be used by any writer or publisher. Download it soon, for there will come a time when the point of my humble innovation will have been made, and I shall impose a charge.
Edward was the heir to the duke of Buckingham, the rightful heir to the throne, on the run for his life from Richard III at the age of 5, and hardly safer under the new king; but what of that dangerous woman the King’s mother, Eadie whom he loved and Alainore whom he would be forced to marry?
For more of his story, or for that of the author, a senior partner in a Law firm, locked in unravelling what happened 500 years ago, you can see the original edition (still available) or Google Mike Voyce.

The Printed book
Edward first came out in print published by Booklocker Inc. in the U.S.A., who also added a Kindle version on Amazon.
A little while ago I added a new edition, printed in the U.K., to a very high quality. This is the edition available on this website, at a very low price.
I am reluctant to change the text of Edward; it very much stands for itself, but other things about the book move on.
The EBook
In addition to the Booklocker edition, last year I took Edward to Smashwords, who published it in their Premium Catalogue; in very many formats, and it is now distributed by many outlets.
Not content with that, I’ve now made Edward interactive. At first I put in over 40 hyperlinks, including a link to the genealogy on this site, and 2 specially recorded video introductions. The books you can now download is in keeping with Edward - Interactive at Smashwords and includes all the previous material, but there are now a total of 61 hyperlinks, including music, and 2 additional pages.
The difference between Edward on this site and at Smashwords is that here I can respond to readers' suggestions quickly and sensitively; my intention to improve Edward is part of the reason these books are free. It does depend what comes in from readers what further changes there are, but the next planned major change is an expansion of the subject of the book.

About the text of the book itself:
Here is a voyage of discovery about me, as well as about Edward Stafford. I knew a little about reincarnation and hypnosis at the start of the story, but practically nothing about Spirit, spirit guides or boards of judgement. I should have known, for all our interest in these has mushroomed in recent years – they are worth a few words. Interest in the Holy Grail first mushroomed in the 1100s, with Geoffrey of Monmouth and Chrétien de Troyes. Since then it has never flagged, there have been many workings of the Grail story, including Wagner’s “Parsifal” and, of course, “Indiana Jones”. The version in Edward is the summation of the Vulgate, the master work of Sir Thomas Malory, "Le Morte D'Arthur," this was the version known to the historical Edward. Learn more of about the Grail and Malory at British Library. |

Mixed with the Grail legend are magical swords, not just King Arthur’s sword, in Malory’s book there is the Sword of the Grail Knight, Sir Percival. The magical sword in Edward comes at Christmas before Edward’s fifteenth birthday, with an explanation in a letter from his dead father. The letter holds the legend of Father John, in the year 1212. Funnily enough, evidence of this Father John, at the relevant date, came into my hands – after writing the story of the vision.
Edward's story turns on his use of the Sword – but it would be wrong to tell you about that here.
Druid Glass is not well known, and my research was hampered until Angharad told me what she said, watching Joseph of Arimathea receiving it at Glastonbury. You can find evidence of this in museums and on the internet. The best evidence comes from the classical writer Pliny, who wrote in the time of the Roman emperor Claudius. As the Romans all but destroyed the Druids nearly 2,000 years ago, Druid Glass has almost been lost to history; but not to Edward.
How the Universe works (my model is only the starting point for many ideas) and also how things like the Grail, the Sword, and Druid Glass work, is an important part of Edward’s story. As far as I know, you will not find their workings explained elsewhere; but it isn’t something to be completely stated all at once - “The journey of a thousand miles (or a thousand life-times) starts with a single step.”
Would I have taken all this so seriously if I hadn't found solid documentary evidence for the history in Edward? It faced me with a dilemma, if I wanted historians to look again at the history I couldn't tell them about the Grail and the Sword. If I wanted to tell the whole truth, I had to write it as a novel - in the end there was no contest.
The strange thing is, Edward is a novel, and myth and reality are a lot closer than we think.

Why Edward?
Synopsis
Almost by the way, here is some music from Edward's life, and here is some from mine:
music playing the late afternoon in Peterborough, after Martin's wedding, music which protected my own childhood, and music from Angharad's requiem - music, after all, is part of the book and its making.
