The effect of Edward on my emotions and my life was profound, but my upbringing and my nature taught me to guard my emotions; cool facts and evidence was always the thing. I would almost rather have not admitted that Edward’s story affected me at all. Yet his effect continues to work; as well as Blogtalkradio, I find myself teaching Reincarnation every Tuesday, and I now realise it is emotions that matter more than anything else. Recently I came across a recording of a concert I saw, as Edward was unfolding, it had me in tears now, as it did then.
By any standards that concert was stunning (an expression I rarely use) I saw it just before Christmas, in the year I saw the visions in the book; performing in the concert were BB King, Gladys Knight, Billy Ocean, Etta James, Chaka Khan, Steve Ray Vaughan, Albert King, Phil Collins, Paul Butterfield, Dr John and Eric Clapton, perhaps the most glittering line-up ever assembled. For some reason Chaka Khan always reminds me a little of Sarah, I don't suppose she'd feel flattered. Everyone I knew got a video of it as a present; and, for me, the prayer Gladys Knight offered up in her duet with BB King was answer by Angharad.
There are now excerpts from the concert on YouTube, by good fortune two of the songs which affected me more than any other are included and, on this semi-hidden page, I give you links to them. Please let the emotion of those two songs, in those performances, on that exceptional occasion, express the emotions I felt in my story; believe me, they do it more accurately than any written word could.
